Power ON (First time user)
STEP 1: Take the Earbuds out of the Charging Case. or to manually turn them on, press and hold
the CTC for 3 seconds.
STEP 2:Please wait, Both Earbuds will automatically pair to each other.
They will blink for 3 seconds & automatically connect to each other.
Wait for BLUE / RED LIGHTS on the left earbud.
This “BLUE / RED LIGHTS” means that it has gone into Connection Mode.
For first time use BLUE / RED LIGHTS will blink on the Left Earbud.
Note: For pairing to the Earbuds for the first time RED/BLUE Lights will only blink on the left earbud.
For next time pairing procedure RED/BLUE LIGHTS will blink on either left or right earbud. This
happens after the earbuds remembers the device.
Connection Mode
STEP 3: Turn on bluetooth on your device & then scan.
STEP 4: Search for “boAt Airdopes 381” and pair accordingly.
Congratulations, your earbuds are now connected succesfully.
Enter the password “0000” if asked for, and connect the earbuds to your device.
STEP 5: You may now enjoy your music or any other entertainment form factor.
“CTC” Stands for Capacitive Touch Control.
NOTE: If the earbuds don’t automatically Power On when taken out of charging case.
STEP 1: Long Press CTC on both Right and left earbud for 3 seconds. and then remove your finger. Wait for BLUE / RED LIGHTS on the left earbud or right earbud.
This “BLUE / RED LIGHTS” means that it has gone into Scan Mode.
LED Indicators / Functionalities
NOTE: Factory Reset will remove all device profiles saved on the Airdopes 381.
Single Earbud Use
STEP 1: At this stage your earbuds are in stereo mode & connected to your bluetooth device.
STEP 2: Simply remove right or left earbud from your ear.
STEP 3: Place the right or left Earbud back into the Charging Case.
STEP 4: Congratulations, you are now using mono/solo mode.
NOTE: To switch to stereo mode, simply take the earbud (L/R) out of the case & place it in your ear. The earbud will automatically power on & pair with each other hence enabling it for stereo usage.
Charge The Earbuds
- Put the boAt Airdopes 381 back into the charging case in their correct orientation.
- A red light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbuds have been completely charged.
- When both two earbuds are fully charged, the carrying case will switch off to save power.
Charge The Case
Warning: please do not charge the carrying case with “9V” or “12V” output. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the case.
- To charge the case, plug in the USB cable and connect it to any USB port.
- The circle LED will flash red when on charging, after it is completely charged red light will go off.
- It will take 1.5 hrs to completely charge.
- The earbuds can be charged a total of 3 times if the case is at full battery.
Basic Functions
- Voice Assistant- Press the Capacitive Touch Control for 2 seconds to activate voice assistant.
- Answer/Hang up phone call- Tap the Capacitive Touch Control once to answer any incoming call and once again to hang up once done talking.
- Rejecting phone calls – Double tap the Capacitive touch control to reject an incoming call
- Play/Pause – Tap the Capacitive Touch Control to play/pause music at your convenience.
- Next Track – When playing music in stereo mode, double click the right earbuds Capacitive Touch Control to play the next track.
- Previous Track – When playing musicin stereo mode, double click the left earbuds Capacitive Touch Control to play the previous track.
- Volume up / Volume down – The volume cannot be changed from the earbuds, the volume will have to be adjusted via the connected device.
Voice Assistant
STEP 1: Long Press the CTC on either Left or Right Earbud for 2 Seconds to Activate Google / Siri Voice Assistant.
STEP 2: Google / Siri Assistant Screen will pop up & you may command at ease.
Smart Power Off
Your Earbuds will automatically Power On once taken out of the Charging Case. To Power Off follow below steps.
STEP 1: After use, remove both left and right earbuds from your ear.
STEP 2: Place & put back both the earbuds into the Charging Case.
STEP 3: If Red LED is showing, it means it is charging.
Manual Power Off
STEP 1: If both earbuds are on, long Press the CTC on both left and right earbuds for 3 Seconds to manually power off the Earbuds.
STEP 2: Place them back into the charging case to charge the earbuds.
Single Earbud Use can function on both Right/Left earbuds.
Factory Reset/Solution
Perform below tasks if you ever face any difficulties with your Airdopes 381.
Performing a Factory Reset
- Ensure The earbuds are inside the case.
- Long press the CTC for 10 seconds while the earbuds are inside, and wait till purple and red led flashes.
- Take out earbuds out of the charging case, and wait for blue led to flash.
- Proceed to put the earbuds back again in the case. Red led should ignite, indicating that it is charging.
- Congratulations, factory reset is completed.
To pair with your smartphone, simply take them out of the case and follow the pairing procedures.
Common Problem With Solution
Troubleshooting
| Potential Problem | Solution |
| Right Earbud disconnects during phone call | Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. It will connect automatically. |
| Left & Right Earbuds are not pairing | Try re-setting the device. |
| About 20 seconds delay or easy disconnect for Right earbud | Power off, then switch on once more |
| Occasional disconnect and recover minutes later | Power off, then switch on once more |
| If there are other exceptions in use | Place the earbud’s in the charging case and then try using them again. If this does not work, try re-setting the device |
